hey, you asked me about 6 entire months ago what percent Irish I was, and I never responded because I simply disappeared for awhile. and since you asked (and I know you probably don't remember asking, but hey!) I'm 1/4 Irish, my grandfather snuck aboard a boat back in the late 30s in Ireland and successfully ended up in New York. =P

you also asked what I liked about your picture, Negotiation 5, but it seems you took it down, and now I'm afraid I can't tell you. but if I claimed to have liked it, then I most definitely did, and I'm sorry to see it gone.

lol, 1/4 irish and then whatever percentages the rest of my family are...mostly scottish I think though. mainly I picked this name because I'm an Irish dancer, which I'm sure somehow adds to my overall Irishness. last names only count for so much! =p

RE: my little shutterbugs:your comment
Hi stuffnstuff, gotta reply...
the artistic value to me....was the fact that many of us on this site are into photography and being that my two kids are only age 4 and age 6 and totally enthralled with photography, I found the shot fitting to share with other photographers, since we all have to begin at novice level .
This is not a cutesy pic of my kids blowing the candles out on a cake or some cliche shot to show off my children, and I am well aware that there are people like you who find no artistic value in other people's children....and all I can say is sorry you missed the point of my photo.

one joins an Irish dance school :P. mine is called Rince na h'Eireann (which simply means Dance of Ireland), it's the 4th Irish dance school I've been in. there's about 2-3 competitive Irish dance schools in almost every major city around the U.S., and they all have about 400+ students ranging from beginner to champion.

I'm going to be representing my dance school at the Irish nationals next week in Killarney, so wish me luck!

Wondering if you can give me any ideas on interesting capture angles on my sweet ride
(Ok, it's a partially rusted out '95 grand prix... But it's red! That's got to count for something, right?)
I believe there is beauty in everything around us, that it just takes a trained eye and creativity to bring that beauty, however well hidden, to life. Hopefully you feel the same.
BTW, great works

Ha ha, just take a glow shower everymorning. You won't have to worry about personality then. Nah.

Um, I'll make a point list list. Don't question it's accuracy.

Leader 1
Creative 2
Thrifty 3
Romantic 3.5
Daring 4
Brave 5
Caring 5.5
Motivation 6
Sense of humor 7 (interchageable with apperance)
Apperance 8
Intelligence 9
Loyalty 9.5
Personality 10

But of course, it's a matter of the mixture. If that makes any sense.

ha yes I do like the dark room, but I am really not experienced in it. I have only taken one semester of photography in highschool so far (2 semesters of advanced photo next year that I am really excited for!) so I dont know exactly what you could have done better. I agree that the large white spot of snow in the right hand corner is a little distracting, but I dont know how to get rid of that in the dark room alone. that is a lot of time in the dark room, and I can only imagine what you would feel like after that! Actually, on Macabre, I don't think there's anything that I would do to that picture. I wouldn't touch a thing. It's got balance, I love the color, and while some people might find it a bit dark, that's part of why I like it. I like darker desktops than lighter ones. Easier to find my mouse! very true. and actually i wasn't even planning on uploading these onto caedes. i don't own a scanner so i had to use one at school. i am in the process of creating a photo to send it for a scholarship, and along the way of working with that, i scanned some old photos from class as well. i just kinda wanted to see what people would say. and yeah, i've wasted a lot of paper in the darkroom...lol.
